A motion was carried that we object to changes made to the bus pass system; that forcing blind people to work through a charity to get their bus pass is a violation of rights; and that we demand that blind people have an alternative to the CNIB for bus passes.
(This resulted in BC Transit’s B-Pass for the blind. Blind people in Victoria, BC, can now access bus passes through the public entity of BC Transit, just as any other citizen.)
