Blind People on the Move National Tele-Conference, Sunday, June 24, 1 p.m.
On Sunday, June 24 at 1pm Pacific, CFB will host ‘Blind People on the Move’: what to do when it’s too far to walk where you’re going, a national tele-conference on the topic of transportation methods that blind people use.
Of all the challenges we face, finding efficient affordable transportation continues to require creative problem solving strategies. Public transit, paratransit, and solutions like the Taxi Saver program are important, but many gaps remain in the official solutions. This one hour tele-conference will bring together blind people to explore innovative strategies individuals employ to keep the lack of a driver’s license from leading to the lack of opportunities to go places.
Are you in need of a fresh approach? Can you offer one to others? Together we have a wealth of experiences and solutions to share.
Please join in the conversation.
The number to phone is (888) 433-2192 pin 681055.
Please feel free to invite blind individuals you know who share an interest in this topic.
Talk with you then.
